Other Medical Conditions That Occur Commonly in Migraine Sufferers

There are other conditions that occur more commonly in people who have migraine or other headache disorders, and those are considered in more detail in individual articles.

An association has been found between clenching, the medical term for which is bruxism, and migraine headaches. However, there is also an association between bruxism and anxiety disorders, which themselves are more common in headache and migraine. TMD (temporomandibular dysfunction) is also more common in headache sufferers.

Endometriosis occurs more commonly in migraine sufferers, and women who have both migraine and endometriosis tend to have more frequent migraine attacks.

Fibromyalgia also occurs more commonly in those with migraine or chronic headache disorders.

Rosacea also occurs more commonly in migraine sufferers.
